Make Fun Trinket Boxes for your Children

Making a trinket box is very easy and all you need is a few pictures, stickers, papers of different colors etc. In addition to these, take some acrylic paint, glue and you are ready to make a beautiful trinket box of your choice which you can gift your friends, family members, loved ones, female and male children alike.

The Trinket Box making process

Carefully choose a wood box from one of the craft stores or any other shops. There are different sizes available and you can choose the size you want. You should also buy a paint that you like – the color that you want painted on the box. Let the paint be a cheap one and one does not consume much of money. You can also take different paints of different colors and start painting the externals of the box.

After painting the exteriors, carefully paint the interiors of the box. Use different colors and mixtures to paint the box like a collage of colors. Another option is to do some lining on the insides with scrapbook papers of different colors. Cut the papers and let them fit the inside of the trinket box and apply some glue on the back of the box. Then stick the papers inside and place them perfectly on the places you want them stuck.

Then, you may want to add some features inside the box than to leave it as a mere painted box both on the outsides as well as the insides. You can add trinkets, jewelry, small gifts, something that you both share, something that you both like, put some photographs and pictures and you can stick whichever you want inside the box. You can leave some of them inside without sticking them on to the walls of the box.

Sticking pictures on the outside will also make it look charming enough. You can use some of the paint you purchased to paint their names on it. Now, your trinket box is ready to be gifted to your children, friends, girlfriends, relatives and family.
