Accessory Box Making Process

Making accessory boxes is not the most difficult thing. In fact, it is one of the easiest of jobs to be done. Accessory Boxes are useful boxes used for decoration purposes as well. You can make accessory boxes to match any kind of environment. They can be used to store a variety of accessories like rubber bands, stamps, paperclips etc. You can also keep your accessory boxes in your bathrooms to hold your rings, watches, jewelry accessories, hair clips etc.

These kinds of trinket boxes can be gifted in special occasions as well like birthdays, Christmas, New Year, Easter etc. By following the processes given below, you can make a multi-tray accessory box with pull out drawers etc. It is not difficult and it is one of the easiest processes but you do have to take some care in making these accessory boxes. The first thing in accessory box making is to buy all the necessary items from craft stores or other stores.

You would need to buy some glue, Colorful Papers, a few highly thin ribbons, foam rollers, a few empty matchboxes etc. First of all, you have to cut the papers and wrap the exterior of the matchboxes. Then, you have to stick the papers on all the matchboxes. You have to wrap it in a way that lets the drawers come outside. Let the whole set up get dried with as you have added some glue on them to stick them.

Then, you shall make a four square of the four matchboxes in a way that the drawers inside come out from each. Take note of the metrics the squares have formed. These measurements have to be used to cut square boards on the same, exact measurement. This square board must be placed on the top and bottom of the accessory box which is now in the shape of four squares. Do not cut the square board at the same measurement as that of the squares formed by the boxes.

Add some 1/16 inch on all four sides. Wrap the boards with the color papers, take papers of the same measurement and cut the excess papers out. Shove the excess papers on the boards to the inside and straighten the air pockets. Place the matchboxes on the square boards and place the other board on the top. Remove the matches from the matchboxes and use the thin ribbon to make a loop and stick the ribbon ends under the match tray.

This makes a handle for the pull out draw. Take measurement of the distance of the glued ribbon on the tray and stick the same sized ribbons on all trays. Stick color papers under each tray and put them back into the matchboxes when it is completely dry. Your accessory box is ready for you to be used now.
